Every value carries its as_of, so you never have to guess how fresh it is: compare it with the time you show it.

On Kelly Wire, stale_after_ms on live data says how many milliseconds a value stays current, and each topic's snapshot reports its expected latency. A topic that stops updating is not a sign the value is still true: check as_of.

Reference entries carry reviewed_at and review_due, and stale is true once an entry is past its review date.
